How do you approach filling out your March Madness bracket? Generally there is an inverse proportion for me on how much information I arm myself with and how well I do (the more research I do, the more I get dead wrong). But here are the matchups I'm flat out struggling with...
Butler/Old Dominion
Notre Dame/Winthrop
Vanderbilt/George Washington
Tennessee/Long Beach State (I think LBSU will win this)
But have you seen ESPN's AccuScore projections? They have run game simulations 10,000 times and posted the percentage that each team won. How does that knowledge affect your bracket fillin-out'n?

I am struggling with all of those (except Vandy/GWash) I've picked GWash for my sweet 16. Do you have to have ESPN insider for that info? I'd like to see it.
For me, I start by picking my champ. Then I pick my final 4. Then I go back and pick all the first round "definites" and "most-likely's". Then I spend two days kicking myself in the head trying to fill in the rest of my first round.
It works very poorly.
Have you seen AccuScore's bracket caster? Its so cool. You can pick who you think will win each game and it populates the next round with winning % of those hypothetical match-ups. Sweeeet....
there is this old way of decision making that i like to use...it's called the coin flip. works like magic, unless your name is jerome bettis.
My strategy is that this is the first year that EVERYONE and their dog is NOT picking Duke so finally I will get some tournament bracket love when they go to the finals.
Dandy Dan,
I don't think you'll be getting any love with Duke in the finals. They might beat VCU, and they could beat Pitt. But that's it. And I don't really think that Duke will beat VCU.
