You tell me. I'm finished with a conference at Kent State University. I was finished last night. I tried to get an earlier flight home today, but none could be had. USAIR, in infinite wisdom, had overbooked every flight out of Cleveland and Philadelphia to Albany. So my plane doesn't leave until this evening. My plan last night was to go to the Akron airport, rent a car, drive to Cleveland (an hour away), watch the 12:05 Indians-Rangers game, come back, drop the car back off and get on my evening flight.
This venture would have cost me about $120.
I did not go. Next week The Wife and I are headed to Montreal for a delayed anniversary present. I figured the money would be best served enjoyed by bofus in another country. Also, I'm horrifically sunburned. After Induction weekend, in which I spent three days outside, the last thing I really needed was to spend 3 hours in the sun.
Was it a good decision?
Keep in mind I've been in the Student Center at Kent State since 10am. It's 3pm. And there's a lady who has been on her cell phone for, not kidding, two and a half hours. And she's either talking to Richard Pryor or listening to Lewis Black, because she has not stopped laughing and clapping. That's right. Clapping.

Probably not a bad idea. Wasn't that great of a game either.
