Arrested for a drunk-driving charge after the Florida Wherever game, Mack Brown suspended Texas standout Lamarr Houston for three games. Houston requested to speak to the media yesterday in Austin. Read the article and read the statements, (excerpts here)...
"It's not the way I was raised,'' Houston said of what he described as a "poor decision" and "doing the wrong thing."
"I want to be a good role model for other kids, and I don't want them to see me in this light." "Just make the right decision," Houston said when asked what he'd tell his teammates. "Be responsible. Don't drink and drive. Don't be out late at night. Just do the right thing."
That's nice. Texas +1 (E)
But then Mack Brown said he'd play Saturday, one game into his suspension. This doesn't have anything to do with Arkansas coming to town...no, surely not. Texas -1 (OU +1).
