Thursday update

From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram...

Happy anniversary

Friday represents a milestone for Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, and not just because it’s his 22nd birthday. It also will mark a span of nine years since his last soda pop, a vice he ditched in junior high school after listening to a motivational speaker.

McCoy said the speaker told students that, "If you want to be your best, you won’t drink [soda pop]. You’ll drink water or Gatorade." Soon thereafter, McCoy said he stopped downing six Dr Peppers per day and never started again. "I loved them, but I’ve never had another one," McCoy said. "Water’s good for me."

First, I believe the word the junior high motivational speaker used in place of [soda pop] was a euphemism for excrement. Regardless, Colt McCoy won't get caught doing jello shots off co-eds' stomachs in Austin. But six Dr. Peppers a day in eighth grade? Texas +1 (Even)

Can you clarify something for us viewers? I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. Will the team with the edge in points at the end of the season win your loyalty? I didn't know if that was the determining factor or if you were just doing it to help you. Gracias
