Sooo...Sam Bradford is staying

While that is an admirable decision, it's still an interesting one. Projected as a #1 pick (with the money that comes with that selection), Bradford is staying in Norman. Yes, he could get hurt next season. Yes, he could fall on his face next season.

But he's still only a sophomore. We're talking about a 19/20-year old guy. And not just a wide receiver or tight end, a quarterback. A position that guys like Ray Lewis will try to murder on the field, and he's too young for that. You could say that 24 and 25-year old guys are too young to face Ray Lewis, but still...

Also, I think this has more to say about the Lions than it does OU. Bradford is willing to give up that money to not play for the Lions, where he would absolutely start next season. Nope, better to sit this one out, maybe lose some draft value and go to a team like the Colts or Seahawks.

And don't you think next year's Red River Rivalry will be AWESOME?

You really think Bradford is hoping to lose draft value next year?

It is in interesting decision, quite honestly. It wasn't a sure fire thing that he'd go number one. Many projections have MAtt Stafford going above Bradford. Draftcountdown.com had Bradford going no. 9 to San Francisco. ne nfl draft has him 3 to the chiefs.

I think he wanted to play for the title one more year. Although Bradfordis probably the only one who knows for sure. Personally, I don't think I could pass up the kind of money a first round pick makes to play college ball one more year. You never know what could happen (See Willis McGahee).
