So I found this, how each AP voter ranked their Top 25. Let's use this to compare notes from Austin's paper and Oklahoma City's station...
Kirk Bohls (Austin American-Statesman):
1. USC
2. East Carolina
3. OU
4. Florida
5. Georgia
8. Texas
I don't like that USC is #1. I wish I could go back to the two previous polls and see how he voted, but I can't. Maybe he had USC all along. East Carolina at #2? At first I thought "preposterous!" But then again, none of the other 118 schools played - and defeated - two ranked teams. And ECU didn't just beat West Virginia, they whooped 'em. No hometown call here as Texas ranks 8th, five behind OU.
Interestingly, no one from The Oklahoman is an AP voter, so here we have Myron Patton of KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City...
1. Georgia
2. USC
3. Ohio State
4. Oklahoma
5. Florida
8. Texas
No homer here, either, as Patton puts a mediocre Ohio State team ahead of OU. Thankfully Patton has seen that if a pre-season #1 team dominates both its games, then there's no reason to put a team who has only played one mediocre-to-crappy team on the road ahead of them.
This story is even, OU retains a 1-point lead. And I haven't hit the Austin papers yet.

Yeah. I don't like that USC is #1 either. I hate them. A lot. They're right up there with Texas Tech.
And yes, that's bad.
