There will be a running commentary on stories throughout the week updating my little game here. Thanks to Cousin Heather for sending this story on - this is bi-partisanship at its finest...

Here's the summary:
Report: Two Oklahoma athletes victims of nightclub stabbing
NORMAN, Okla. -- At least two Oklahoma athletes were injured during a brawl at a local nightclub that police said involved guns, knives and tire irons.
Details were immediately unclear, but the university characterized the players as victims in the early Sunday incident at the Sooner Knights club in southwest Norman.
Norman police said they went to the nightclub at 2:32 a.m. Sunday, about four hours after fourth-ranked Oklahoma beat Chattanooga 57-2 in its season opener, after "numerous calls to the police department reported subjects fighting with knives, guns and tire irons." Police reported two people had been stabbed and a third had been hit by a car.
Norman Regional Hospital spokeswoman Brenda Finkle told The Oklahoma Daily student newspaper that freshman defensive end Frank Alexander was treated and released Sunday. The newspaper also cited "multiple student sources" in reporting that freshman basketball guard Ray Willis was injured in the altercation.
The Oklahoman, citing multiple sources, reported Tuesday that Alexander and Willis were stabbed.

Admittedly, pieces of the story were cut out so as not to make this a long post, but you can read the full text at the above link...
Guns, knives, tire irons, hit by a car - this is either a third-world version of "Grease," or a scene out of Blood Diamond.
Texas +1 (OU +1 overall).

I think this might end up being a difficult little game for you. I read this elsewhere:
"Witnesses say that neither of the athletes instigated the “fight” and their injuries occurred while defending themselves after being attacked. The attack happened at a private party that was attended by many OU students and the apparent motive had to do with the athlete’s dates."
This must be true, it was on the internet.
Just kidding, I'm not going to make excuses. This guy should have been in bed with Sam Bradford. Well, not in bed with him, you know what I mean...
Although I despise them and their love of shock value, ESPN with the help of Tim Griffin, follows anything and everything happening in the Big XII up to the hour here:

Happy hunting.
I think instead of giving Texas 1 point for this story, you should deduct 1 from OU.
Technicalities...
Since there are two athletes involved shouldn't this be two points?
