Franz Ferdinand

I need more time to digest last Saturday's game between Texas and Oklahoma. But first, let's be honest, good win for Texas, pretty good loss for Oklahoma. Both teams played well, but the refereeing left a bit to be desired. Actually the officiating was atrocious. The interception in the end zone should have at least been kicked up to the booth for a replay. The call where Colt McCoy fell on his own accord on the sidelines and OU was called for roughing the passer was ridiculous.

There are some people in a game who should be immune to pressure - and the referees looked as keyed up as the players, and they are to be the arbiters of justice. You never want to come away from a game thinking about the referee.

That said, Franz Ferdinand's third studio album will be released January 27th. Thought you might want to know...

Amen to that.

I've watched the game twice now on DVR and I totally agree. I WILL NOT blame the loss on the refs. the Sooners had their chances. The refs, however were terrible on both sides.

It's frustrating to know that the game could've been even better if the refs hadn't blown so many calls.

I'd like to add a few terrible calls to your list:

-The second 'running into the kicker' (on TX)
-At least 6 no calls on holding (on both sides)
-At least 2 no calls on illegal man down field (on OU's wide reciever screens- 1 of which was a touchdown)
-2 roughing the passers (1 on each side) were called that shoudn't have been.
